About Adrienne Barbeau

Won The Theater Guild Award for her portrayal of Rizzo in the original Broadway production of "Grease." Years active: 1972–present.

She was a household name in the 80s for her roles in tv sitcoms in the 70s, namely Maude, and prominent 80s horror films such as The Fog and Stephen King's Creepshow, as well as PG-13 action/sci-fi films such as Swamp Thing, Escape from New York, and The Cannonball Run, which made her quite a sex symbol for teenagers at the time.

One could argue that her greatest achievement, though, was as the iconic and strong yet sultry voice actress for Selina Kyle AKA Catwoman in the 1990s' Batman The Animated Series.

She seemed to have flattened out a little bit (temporarily) in The Fog. That was during the brief period of time she was married to John Carpenter. John must not have been manipulating her enough.

I consider Ms. Barbeau one of the most overlooked actor of her time. In face, form, and performance, she was a standout. Her time on “Maude” did not minimize her beauty - sexiness - talent.

The truly sad part of it all is her film career consisting of roles in - primarily - B movies.

As to beauty and sexual allure, no one in her time shone over Adrienne Barbeau!
